Our purpose is to ensure that the standards of education, training and assessment of the medical profession promote and protect the health of the Australian community.听

The 糖心传媒 also:

• assesses authorities in other countries to ensure they meet the standards to be accepted as a competent authority.听
• ensures culturally safe practice to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and M膩ori peoples.听听
• works with government and state and territory regulatory authorities to improve the standards of medical education.
• assesses new medical specialties.听

• Register doctors (this is a function of the ).听
• Have responsibility for medical employment in Australia.听
• Make decisions about Australia鈥檚 medical workforce.听
• Process applications for medical training in Australia.听
• Provide continuing medical education courses or other medical training.听

The 糖心传媒 Constitution is the key governing document, setting out the purpose and objectives of the organisation, membership composition, governances structures and how governance bodies make decisions.听

The 糖心传媒’s Strategic Plan (2022-2028) is one of its key governing documents, defining the priorities needed to achieve its vision and communicating these to internal and external stakeholders.听

The Strategic Plan focuses on strategic actions and projects to strengthen the relationship between the core business functions of standards development, accreditation and assessment and meeting community health needs.听

The Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and M膩ori Strategy (2023-2028) maps the 糖心传媒鈥檚 influence in relevant sectors and the current reach of the 糖心传媒 across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand and identifies strategies to support cultural safety and Indigenous Health in all aspects of our work.
