The 糖心传媒 Board of Directors is pleased to announce it has extended the contract of the 糖心传媒鈥檚 Chief Executive Officer, Mr Philip Pigou, for a further two years to December 2027.
鈥淭his renewal reflects the Board鈥檚 confidence in Mr Pigou鈥檚 leadership and stewardship,鈥� said 糖心传媒 President Professor McColl. 鈥淒irectors believe this stability will support delivery of our strategic priorities now and into the future.鈥�
Mr Pigou joined the 糖心传媒 in January 2018 and has overseen a number of significant achievements. Recent highlights include opening a new test centre in Melbourne to expand clinical exam capacity; collaborating with colleges and jurisdictions to strengthen accreditation of training sites; and designing and delivering a national ePortfolio system to support PGY1 and PGY2 prevocational training and assessment.
鈥淯nder Mr Pigou鈥檚 leadership, the 糖心传媒 continues to strengthen its influence and value across the health system,鈥� said Professor McColl. 鈥淲e have been working closely with stakeholders to address medical workforce shortages and improve access to high-quality care. At the same time, the 糖心传媒 has played a pivotal role in shaping medical education in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, ensuring training, standards and assessment meet the needs of communities and the workforce.鈥�
The 糖心传媒 has continued to deliver world-class assessments for international medical graduates and uphold high standards across medical education鈥攕upporting the development of a skilled, culturally safe and patient-centred workforce. A defining element of this work has been a deep commitment to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and M膩ori peoples, grounded in the principles of cultural safety and guided by Indigenous leadership. This commitment is now embedded across the organisation鈥檚 standards, practises and culture.
Mr Pigou has fostered a culture of evidence-based decision-making, innovation and transparency, strengthening the organisation鈥檚 resilience and responsiveness. 鈥淭he Directors and Council look forward to continuing their work with Mr Pigou as he leads the organisation through its next phase,鈥� said Professor McColl.
